Music for HCA-Playgate (2013)

These are theme-songs I composed for the commercial kids’ game “HCA playgate” in 2013, produced in collaboration with KnapNok Games. The game is available on appstore, released by the Danish playground company Kompan, to promote a new playground concept based on the fairytales of H.C. Andersen. Thus, these are theme songs for “The Tinderbox”, “The Little Mermaid” and “The Ugly Duckling” – with musical inspiration ranging from the Danish composer H.C. Lumbye, “Aqaurium” by Saint-Säens to “Peter & the Wolf” by Prokofiev. Midway through, each of the pieces are repeated with expanded orchestration – intended for the “frenzy”-mode parts of the game…

Theme song for "Påskesøndag"

Short piano tune, composed for the short film “Påskesøndag” (Easter sunday) by the Danish film director Jonas Grum

Days of Wine & Roses (DOWAR)

DOWAR is the name of a lounge-combo, in which I play the piano and do most of the arrangements. Apart from me, DOWAR consists of Mikkel Petterson (Guitar), Marie Louise von Bülow (Double bass) & Andreas Estrup (Drums/Percussion). The style is heavily influenced by the pianist Carmen Cavallaro, and our repertoire consists mainly of tunes from the 50’s and 60’s. This particular tune “Gør hvad du vil” was actually composed by my father’s uncle Henry Hannibal (1916-2013) for the Eurovision contest in 1960. I made this arrangement:

Mr. Doodles

Three tunes I composed for a planned game project, which unfortunately remained unfinished and unreleased. The game (Mr. Doodles) was planned as a further development of the prototype game “Paper evolution” I did with three game developers for Nordic Game Jam in 2011. The Cosy tunes remains though, and they were inspired by music from Danish 70’s kids’ televison, suitable for the game set in a school classroom. I recorded all instruments, sound effects and whistling! – my friend Mikkel Petterson contributed with the guitar parts:
